May is European Diversity Month. For us, as a Foundation, this is more than just a date on the calendar — it is an opportunity to share knowledge. We know that diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and human rights are vast subjects, surrounded by numerous myths and misconceptions. That’s why we have developed a dedicated educational campaign that presents key concepts in a simple, concise format and addresses everyday questions and concerns.

A Practical Knowledge Pack: A Solid Starting Point

As part of this year’s activities, we have created a Glossary of Key Terms for you. We recognise that the selection of terms is subjective — the issues we work with are complex, and it is impossible to cover them adequately in just a dozen or so definitions. Nevertheless, we believe that our knowledge pack provides an excellent starting point for understanding the basic concepts.

Our glossary moves away from complicated theory. Instead, it illustrates clear cause-and-effect mechanisms: from the hidden stereotypes and biases in our minds, through everyday attitudes, to specific behaviours such as microaggressions and their ultimate, systemic impact on society as a whole. We also unpack less familiar phenomena that receive less attention but carry enormous social costs, including ableism, minority stress, emotional labour, and epistemic exploitation.

Download the Material and Put It to Use Without Barriers!

Our campaign goes beyond social media posts. We have prepared a free educational resource in PDF format that you can download directly from our website.

We strongly encourage you to download it and use it in a wide range of contexts:

  • In your personal life: for self-reflection and recognising and challenging your own thinking traps.
  • In your professional life: as a contribution to discussions about workplace culture within your teams and organisations.
  • In educational activities: as a ready-to-use resource for workshops, training sessions, author events, and debates.

Let’s Create Accessible Materials Together — Get in Touch!

As a Foundation, we have specialised, proven expertise in translating complex social concepts into language that is simple, intuitive, and visually engaging. We know how to communicate about diversity effectively, directly, and without unnecessary grandstanding.

We invite organisations, businesses, institutions, and individuals interested in creating similar campaigns, publications, or educational materials to collaborate with us. We would be happy to share our knowledge, provide expert support, and work together to develop resources tailored to your needs.
